"The Duke '78 show had been floating around in video tape trading circles going back to the 1980s. It wasn't great, but being from such an underrepresented video period in the Dead's history, it was a holy grail. The sound and audio mix wasn't very good on the original video, and we're thrilled to offer you this restored version of the video synced with Jeffrey Norman's newly mastered audio from the Betty Cantor-Jackson reels. Kudos to the restoration team that painstakingly synced the new audio to the original video as well as can be. It's not perfect, but it's much better than we've seen and heard in the past.
