VC LIVE | We’re coming to you this afternoon direct from Theater Koblenz in Koblenz, Germany for a special benefit concert to raise funds for humanitarian help for Ukraine | Today’s concert features cellist, VC Artist Benedict Kloeckner, pianist Anna Fedorova, violist Dana Zemtsov, conductor Daniel Raiskin, and a selection of musicians from the Staatsorchester Rheinische Philharmonie | Today’s performance features Bach’s “Prelude and Chorale Ich ruf zu dir, Herr Jesu Christ,” Valentin Silvestrov’s “Prayer for Ukraine,” Mieczysław Weinberg’s Cello Concerto in C minor, Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 23 in A Major, Michail Kugel’s “Preghiera”, and Shostakovich’s Chamber Symphony in C minor | “Tonight is a very special night — a sold out performance in Koblenz with all of these fantastic musicians and my dear friends,” VC Artist Benedict Kloeckner told The Violin Channel. “This concert is held in solidarity for the people of Ukraine with all funds raised from this evening’s performance being donated directly to on-the-ground humanitarian aid,” he said. “This is the only way we know, as musicians, we can help.
