Ailbhe McDonagh - The Irish Four Seasons [live concert recording]

This is a live concert recording of the world premier of Ailbhe McDonagh's violin concerto "The Irish Four Seasons". The soloist is Lynda O'Connor with the chamber ensemble Anamus conducted by David Brophy. This concert took place at the Ballaghaderreen Arts Festival, Co. Roscommon, Ireland on 7 August 2024. "The Irish Four Seasons" is a twenty-two minute work in four movements, each representing a season of the year. The piece is featured as a companion piece to Vivaldi's "Four Seasons" on the album "The Irish Seasons" by violinist Lynda O'Connor which was released on 2 August 2024 on the AVIE Records label.
