Paul Kim made his debut in 2014 with the single, “Coffee With Me.” The start was rather quiet. He wasn’t in the spotlight right from the beginning. With his calm and gentle voice and touching lyrics, however, this musician thoroughly built his loyal listener base and eventually topped all the music charts in 2018 with “Rain” and “Every Day, Every Moment.”

In June this year, he released his third EP, “Star,” to offer a place to hide and be the person to lean on when his listeners are facing difficulties in life. The new release is full of his own stories and memories, gently comforting everyone listening to the songs.

손닿을 듯 가깝고 생생한 음악을 선물하는 도심 속 라이브 콘서트 [I'm Live]. 실력 있는 뮤지션들과 공연을 사랑하는 시청자들의 사랑을 한 몸에 받고 있는 [I'm Live] 272회의 주인공은 반박불가, 대한민국 대표 감성 장인 폴킴이다.

2014년 싱글 앨범 '커피 한 잔 할래요'로 데뷔. 데뷔하자마자 모두의 주목을 받는 등장은 아니었지만, 본인만의 색깔을 잃지 않으며 차근차근 대중에게 존재감을 드러냈다. 앳된 소년 같은 외모와 잔잔하면서 따뜻한 목소리로, 솔직하지만 담담하게 사랑과 그리움을 세밀하게 녹아내며 2018년에 ‘모든 날, 모든 순간’, ‘비’ 등으로 음원 차트 상위권을 차지하며, 신흥 음원 강자로 자리매김하게 되었다.

올해 6월 발표한 세 번째 EP [Star]를 통해 삶이 힘들고 주저앉고 싶을 때, 잠시 눈을 감고 기댈 수 있는 아름다운 추억과 자전적인 고백을 담아내며, 새로운 앨범이 발표될 때마다 믿고 듣는 대한민국 대표 뮤지션으로서 폴킴의 건재함을 보이기도 했다.

폴킴은 [I’m Live] 무대에서 방송을 통해 라이브로 첫 공개한다고 밝힌 ‘돛단배’와 최근 발표한 신곡 ‘너의 잠을 채워줄게‘와 히트곡 ‘너를 만나‘ 등 다양한 곡들을 선보일 예정이다. 폴킴의 무대는 9월 1일 오후 1시 아리랑TV에서 감상할 수 있다.
