Live At #1972fest
Moscow, Russia, November 12, 2022
The 1970s were a period of political activity for John Lennon and Yoko Ono. Public statements, actions, slogans… The concert in New York in 1972 also became a kind of statement. "This will be our Bangladesh," Yoko said, which meant "This is our response to George Harrison, who organized the first ever benefit concert for Bangladesh."
Lennon's second and last live album - a recording of a concert in New York in 1972 - is also notable for being the only complete recording of the entire performance of this great musician. The program consisted almost entirely of songs written by Lennon himself including The Beatles era songs. Brand new "Imagine" sounds particularly impressive on this recording, as does the very lennonish "outro" "Give Peace a Chance".
At #1972fest, Sergey Gutsan and Buick Mackane performed "Live in New York City" set list for the very first time, which became a real exclusive for the Beatlefans audience.
