GBH Music celebrates the life and talent of the late legendary jazz host Eric Jackson with "PEACE," a concert at GBH's Calderwood Studio, streaming live on International Jazz Day, Sunday, April 30.

Eric Jackson, host of Eric in the Evening on GBH radio for over 40 years, passed away on Sept. 17, 2022. Eric began broadcasting at GBH in 1977 with his overnight jazz showcase, Artists at Night. Eric in the Evening debuted in 1981 and, with it, his emergence as one of public broadcasting’s most popular on-air personalities. He was truly the “Dean of Boston Jazz Radio,” and he shared his knowledge and his love of music with all of us. Eric was inducted into the Massachusetts Broadcasters Hall of Fame on September 22, 2022. Studio 5 at GBH Studios has been named for and dedicated to him.

JazzBoston, in collaboration with GBH Music, has curated an all-star lineup of jazz musicians from throughout the region who were connected to Mr. Jackson's unparalleled legacy of sharing the music he loved with listeners. Musical guests include:
