Get a behind the scenes and inside look at local musicians and recording artists in their natural habitat...jamming with their friends! There is storytelling, laughter and most importantly, some great music.
This Episode is hosted by Jack Semple and features Craig Salkeld, Dan Silljer & Keiran Semple
Jack Semple is a veteran Canadian Blues/RnB musician. He has won a Juno, two Western Canadian Music awards, two Gemini nominations and the national Guitar competition “Guitar Wars”. Jack lives in Regina and tours Canada. In the last four years Jack has been touring the US with the help of Manager Steve Ozark. Steve Ozark booked gigs for Jack and his band in New York(BB Kings on Times square) Memphis(Beale street Music festival)New Jersey (The record collector) Mount Baker Blues fest,Thunder Bay Blues fest,RBC Ottawa Blues fest.
Craig Salkeld has been a working musician for about 100 years. He has been involved with Sask Express for about 60 of those years. His favorite work activity is songwriting and arranging. He plays a few different instruments, but none of them all that well. He sings a bit here and there. Jack Semple is one of his musical heroes.
Hanging out with local musicians was a sure-fire way for left-handed guitarist Dan Silljer to secure his place in Regina’s flourishing music scene. Not surprising that local hero Jason Plumb plucked Silljer to be for his own backing band, The Willing. A musician’s musician, Silljer’s versatile and ambling playing style has kept him busy as Regina’s best-kept secret.
Keiran Semple has been writing and recording music since he was a child. About to release his third self produced album, Semple’s music began as traditional folk and has wound its way through psychedelia, Indie rock, and alternative. Keiran’s new live show includes the songwriting focused music he started out with but now includes lush three part harmonies and a solid rhythm section.
