Originally streamed live on Deadheadland FB. Stream quality varied with signal, and unfortunately FB downgraded the quality, but nonetheless this is still quite enjoyable!

I streamed lots of shows from Terrapin, and I used to keep my schedule clear on the afternoon, because these Songs To Phil The Air were often announced that day, and I wanted to be ready to go set up my camera, and get my boogie on too! To be honest, I was living with Ross James at the time, and sometimes he would give me a heads up, but often he didn't know in advance either! When Phil wanted to play, they pulled it together.

People always would ask why they didn't have drums at these too, but I think it was to not be too loud for the neighbors. And as part of the deal Terrapin had with the City of San Rafael, to be stewards of the park, they had to have a certain amount of free concerts each year. We were the lucky benefactors of that, though of course Phil loved to play!

And Scott Law used to come into town for a week or so every month (he lives in Portland) and he would just play play play, with every band in the bar, with Phil in the backyard, bar and Grate Room, and of course with Ross in Cosmic Twang!

Facebook is about to delete the old Live streams (On July 3, 2025), their storage policy has changed. I (happycat!) am working actively to try and grab all the Deadheadland videos (nearly 1.5 terabytes!) and archive them here for the future, before that date. These streams from the shelter in place days, to all the Terrapin videos, Songs to Phil The Air, the Tent shows, Grate Room and Bar shows... I streamed a lot! Some of the streams had signal issues and aren't good quality for replay, but most of them are worth a replay, and I am working on saving and sharing those!!! There is a lot of history here.
