Formé en 1989 à Helsinki autour du chanteur Jyrki 69, The 69 Eyes s’adonne initialement au sleaze et au garage rock. En 2000, les Finlandais partent pour la première fois en tournée. The 69 Eyes a trouvé son style depuis belle lurette: un goth’n’roll résolument sombre. Pour fêter ses 30 ans d’existence, le groupe a sorti en septembre 2019 "West End", son 12e album studio.

Concert filmé le 13 août 2023 au festival M’era Luna à Hildesheim.
