Maa Ramanan - Hindolam | Live In Concert | Sikkil Gurucharan

Watch this snippet from a live concert, where Sikkil Gurucharan presents the kriti Maa Ramanan in Hindolam Raagam, Rupaka Thaalam, composed by Papanasam Sivan.
As referenced in his Jannal Oram Classicism Episode on Salangai Oli, Gurucharan uses the phrase from Om Nama Shivaya song in that movie. At 4.12 in this video, watch him perform the sangatis that sound like “Un Mouname” from Om Nama Shivaya.
Classicism extended in concerts!!
Sikkil Gurucharan is accompanied on the Violin by Vid. V. Sanjeev, on the Mridangam by Vid. Shertalai R. Anantakrishnan and on the Ghatam by Dr. Trichy K. Murali.

Meaning of the kriti:

Pallavi: The one married to Lakshmi (Vishnu) and the one married to Uma (Siva), I bow down to your feet as beautiful as a flower, my love, every day.

Anupallavi: Father of the god of love (Vishnu), and the father of Murugan (Siva). The one who lives on the mountain Kailaash (Siva), even the one who lies on the ocean waves (Vishnu) upon his snake worships you.

Charanam: Even if I call you with a 1000 names (done for Visnhu), even if you change forms a 1000 ways (Siva), with more respect than even given a mother, he blesses all at his feet. One who surrenders himself at his feet will not be afraid, because Shiva will bless you and take you with him.
