Efek Rumah Kaca is an indie pop-rock band from Jakarta, Indonesia. Formed in 2001, the band originally went by the names Hush and Superego before settling on Efek Rumah Kaca in 2007 when they released their first album.

Known for their socially conscious lyrics, Efek Rumah Kaca tackles issues ranging from politics to everyday life in Indonesia. Despite operating independently, they've received widespread recognition, including awards like the Indonesia Cutting Edge Music Award for Best Album in 2010 and the MTV Indonesia Award for Best Cutting Edge in 2008.

Led by Cholil Mahmud (vocals, guitar) and supported by Poppie Airil (backing vocals, bass), Akbar Bagus Sudibyo (drums, backing vocals), and Reza Ryan (guitar), Efek Rumah Kaca continues to influence the Indonesian music scene with their unique blend of socially relevant messages.
