Lila Ike - Live In Concert - Summer Jam Festival 2024

With a velvety voice full of soul and soulful, groovy tracks, Lila Iké has become one of the most sought-after reggae singers today.

Born Alecia Tameka Grey in Jamaica in 1994, Lila Iké released her debut album "The ExPerience" in 2020 after a few singles. Actually, she had enrolled at the university for the second time shortly before, but then made a conscious decision to pursue a musical career.

She goes through with it: She goes to Kingston, takes the stage name Lila Music and gets started. Over time, she changes the name to Lila Iké, based on the Nigerian name Ikéchukwu, which means "power of God".

In 2017, she signed with Protoje's reggae label In.Digg.Nation. In 2019, she will tour Europe for the first time, including playing on the Rototom Sunsplash and at the Reggae Jam. She also appears as the opening act for Protoje on his US tour.

Lila Iké is one of the great reggae hopes of her homeland, along with artists such as Koffee and Chronixx. In 2020, her name is on BBC Radio 1Xtra's "Artists To Watch" list.
