Sun of a Pitch - Live at "From a to Zen" at Zeeplab 30 November 2025.
Thanks for being here, and I hope the music brings you as much joy as it brought me creating it. My goal was to build tension between tranquil, spacious sounds and bursts of energetic sequencing. It’s a style I’ve started calling ADHDbient.
Im more than happy about yesterday's concert and enjoyed improvising with the Pocket Scion and a tiny Xmas tree combined with my modular. In the beginning I was also using the @NodeBeat iOS app to improvise on the keys (@Lawmusic5 did a very nice video of it). @squarpinstruments Hermod+ is used as the main sequencer and to input notes. There were also plenty of cross-modulated LFOs flowing in and out of the Hermod+, shaping the movement of the performance.I sent them through some Doepfer attenuators and Marbles so I could control their intensity, rate, and where they were sent across the oscillators and FX. On top of that, I used the splendid XXPRSS module by @BEARModules and @Kypski as a macro controller. It’s still one of my absolute favorites and gives all my patches the final expression I’m aiming for. Definitely have a look at Bear Modules on their website or Etsy — they make some seriously high-quality, authentic modules. The recording might be a bit quiet, apologies for that. There’s no post-mastering involved; everything you hear is straight out of the case, routed into a Pioneer DJM-450 mixer and recorded with the Pioneer DJM-REC app.
Huge thanks and shoutouts to:
- Everyone who came out to this wonderful event — I’m incredibly grateful for your presence and support.
- ZeepLAB, for hosting such a warm and inspiring gathering.
- The two amazing artists, @LoCisco & @EntropicEcho — their performances were absolutely stunning. You can watch the full event stream from ZeepLAB here: https://www.youtube.com/live/M3QU6gPUz6o?si=peyzBjr8iI0YsAsj
- Dennis (WSTHS) for the stunning visuals, beautifully blended with scenes from my happy place — Epirus region, Greece.
-m My partner in crime and the love of my heart, Marjanne — thank you for always being by my side!
