Rollins Band - Full Concert [HD] | Live at Pinkpop 1995

Rollins Band was a metal band with anchorman Henry "motormouth" Rollins. Rollins gained fame as the lead singer of the band Black Flag, with which he toured throughout America in the early eighties. Henry Rollins is also known for his spoken words sessions, in which he shares the ins and outs of his life on the road with the audience. Henry has collaborated on albums by various artists, including Tool's first album: Opiate. A number of songs by the Rollins Band: Do it Low Self opinion Followed Around You didn't need Drive by shooting Liar (the most famous song resulting in a breakthrough with a larger audience.) Rollins (real name: 'Garfield'), was hyperactive as a child and said he was neglected by his parents. After his parents' divorce, he was regularly abused by his mother's new boyfriends. Stuffed with Methylphenidate (brand name: Ritalin or Ritalin), Henry sat in a corner until he was 15 years old, grinding his teeth until he had had enough. Henry started bodybuilding and threw the pills out the door and expressed his hyperactivity and aggressiveness in his music. (see above: in 'Black Flag', among others.) Rollins is known as a workaholic and finds it important to make as much of life as possible, which can be found especially in his uplifting songs such as Lo-So (Low Self Opinion), Do It and Shine. In addition to making music and his spoken word sessions, Rollins also has his own company and has also worked for a long time for three American teenagers (the "West Memphis Three") who were innocently convicted of the murder of three little boys. His enormous commitment and fanaticism has already given Rollins some supporting roles in films and can also be found in his music. He doesn't call himself a fantastic singer but calls his fanaticism and commitment his strong point and he always has good band members around him. Nowadays (2012) Rollins still does his spoken word sessions and has his own show, where he regularly receives well-known musicians (hardrock, metal, hardcore-punk and the like) but also makes jokes about people, populations and bands and always makes it clear that violence and hatred are never the solution, as he once lost a friend, who was murdered in front of his eyes.
