Macy Gray (born Natalie Renee McIntyre on September 6, 1967 in Canton, Ohio) is an American neo soul/R&B singer, songwriter, and actress. Under the name Macy Gray, Natalie has released five studio albums, one live album, and one compilation album. As of 2018, she has sold over 25 million records worldwide.

Gray has received five Grammy Award nominations, winning one. She has appeared in a number of films, including Training Day, Spider-Man, Scary Movie 3, Lackawanna Blues, Idlewild, For Colored Girls, and The Paperboy. Gray is best known for her international hit single "I Try", taken from her multi-platinum debut album On How Life Is. Gray was inducted into the National Rhythm & Blues Hall of Fame in 2014 in her hometown of Canton, Ohio.
